Argüelles was the first neighbourhood to be created under the expansion project, and here we can find grand residences built in the 19^th century such as the “Palacete de la Chata”. Argüelles sits opposite the “Parque del Oeste” park and became a paradigm of health-conscious town planning for the middle classes, where we can find examples of all the architectural styles of the period.
